Thank you for visiting Queensferry Community Brass Band, a band based near Edinburgh, Scotland.

 

We are  a progressive, friendly, contesting brass band comprising of a good mixture of both adult and young players and we always welcome new players of any standard.

 

Our main activities, apart from entering band contests throughout the year, involve supporting local civic community events such as the annual Ferry Fair and the annual Queensferry Christmas Pageant.

 

Throughout the year we perform concerts in the community, the main such event being our Annual Spring Concert in May each year.

 

We are self supporting and this necessitates fund raising events which form part of our social calendar.

 

We also fundraise during the Christmas season playing Christmas music at various venues such as our local Tesco superstore and Edinburgh’s Gyle Centre.

In March 2011 we were awarded third place in the Scottish Brass Band Championshps and came first in the Fife Brass Band Festival 2011 in April. 

 

In October 2011 we were awarded first place at the Fife Charities Contest  and the prize for the best percussion section.

Our rehearsals are currently held each Wednesday 7-9pm at Dalmeny Church Hall, Main Street, Dalmeny  EH30 9TT  near South Queensferry.
